This week in Bellevue
About Bellevue
Fur traders working with the Omaha, Ponca, Oto and Pawnee gave Bellevue its start, and the state historical marker names it the oldest continuous settlement in Nebraska. The name is French for "beautiful view," usually credited to trader Manuel Lisa for the sight where the Platte and Missouri valleys meet.
