Uncovering Our Past: Southern Indiana Folk Songs, Paynetown SRA (Monroe Lake)

Southern Indiana Folk Songs at 6:00 p.m. • Free program (donations accepted) and free park entry! • Location: Paynetown State Recreation Area, Activity Center • Please note that seating is limited to 25 people; we don’t expect the room to fill, but we could always be surprised! Folk songs proliferated in an era when singing was a common form of recreation. People learned traditional folk songs by listening to others sing them and then passing them on to someone else.
