About College View
Adventist leaders picked a site south of Lincoln in 1891 for a Midwestern college, and the town of College View grew up around it; classes began that September. The village had about 1,000 residents by 1892, when it incorporated, and about 2,900 when Lincoln annexed it in 1929.
