What Lies in the Shadows Exhibit
Thursday, October 29 through Wednesday, November 11
Dr. C.C. and Mabel L. Criss Library · 6401 University Dr N, Omaha, NE 68182, 68132
Hosted by University of Nebraska Omaha
What Lies in the Shadows is a convergence of two artists' work, Alex Renbarger and Maddie Hinrichs. Both construct domestic interiors that balance familiarity with ambiguity, using deep phthalo blues, burnt burgundies, and ultramarine purples as near-blacks that carry the eye through the exhibition. Renbarger builds unreal spaces from Photoshopped collages using AI-generated imagery as foundations for her oil paintings.
