SUMMARY:Cabaret at Kansas State University
LOCATION:McCain Auditorium\, 1501 Goldstein Circle Manhattan\, KS 66506-2
 111\, 66506
DESCRIPTION:Cabaret is an iconic Kander and Ebb musical set in the post-W
WI Weimar Republic. It explores the lives of bohemian expatriates and per
formers at the provocative Kit Kat Klub\, dismissing the Nazis as they ri
se to power. Based on British writer Christopher Isherwood's autobiograph
ical tales of his colorful escapades in Jazz Age Berlin\, this gritty mus
ical shows how fascism can creep into even the most progressive of societ
ies if we let it.\n\nHosted by Kansas State University\n\nhttps://socials
