'Becoming Jane' on the Big Screen
Thursday, November 5 · 1:30 PM–3 PM
Community Room
Hosted by Pekin Public Library
Join the "Jane Austen Renaissance" and watch the movie, 'Becoming Jane,' on the library's big screen. With the release of a new film adaptation, a new Netflix series in December, and Jane Austen's 250th anniversary, we're going back in time to the 2007 movie about a romance between the young, love-struck author Jane Austen and a penniless Irish lawyer, which serves as the creative inspiration for her work in this enchanting, speculative story starring Anne Hathaway ("The Devil Wears Prada").
