About Ralston

Omaha newspaperman Dr. George L. Miller turned this land into a wooded country estate called Deerfield, planting walnut, catalpa and oak and keeping deer. In 1892 a well drilled in search of oil or minerals struck water instead, creating the 47-acre Seymour Lake.
