The Birch Bark Canoe: A Living Tradition

Join us at the Ely Folk School to explore the history, design, materials, harvest tools, construction, use and maintenance of the traditional birch bark canoe. Students will be exposed to all the equipment and elements necessary to construct a birch bark canoe and gain insight into the fascinating process of traditional construction.
