Cabaret at Kansas State University
Sunday, November 1 · 2:30 PM–5 PM
McCain Auditorium · 1501 Goldstein Circle Manhattan, KS 66506-2111, 66506
Hosted by Kansas State University
Cabaret is an iconic Kander and Ebb musical set in the post-WWI Weimar Republic. It explores the lives of bohemian expatriates and performers at the provocative Kit Kat Klub, dismissing the Nazis as they rise to power. Based on British writer Christopher Isherwood's autobiographical tales of his colorful escapades in Jazz Age Berlin, this gritty musical shows how fascism can creep into even the most progressive of societies if we let it.
