About Valley

Valley was laid out in 1864 on railroad land, and the Union Pacific’s track crews arrived that winter; some stayed on to farm. It was Platte Valley and even Dimonds before it settled on Valley in 1868. Today it is home to the weather office that forecasts for all of eastern Nebraska. One more place to keep up with each other.
