About Eagle Lake
Eagle Lake began as a post office in 1870 called Spier, was platted in 1872, and took the name Eagle Lake in 1873 from a nearby lake. The town has grown fast, from about 1,800 people in 2000 to 3,278 in 2020, and many residents work elsewhere and enjoy the friendly neighborhoods they come home to. Each summer the town holds Tator Days, with a parade, a 5K run and free french fries, and a water tower and park host the Summer Sounds concerts.
