About Albertville
Albertville began as a small railroad stop north of Minneapolis, first laid out as a town site called Hamburg. The Church of St. Albert was finished in 1902, named for Albert Zachman, who gave land for it, and in 1909 the town asked to take the name Albertville in his honor. Today it is a growing city of about 7,900 people, roughly halfway between Minneapolis and St. Cloud along I-94. Neighbors kick off summer each June with five days of Friendly City Days in Central Park, and many shop at the Albertville Premium Outlets.
