About Rogers
Rogers began in the 1880s, when Thomas Rogers sold an acre of his land to the Great Northern Railroad for a depot. St. Martin Catholic Church and school were added, and the town became a local hub for nearby farms. The city was incorporated in 1914, and it grew fast after Interstate 94 opened through it in 1972. Today Rogers sits on both sides of the highway, with the Crow River along its west edge, a Hennepin County library, and the Rogers Royals as the high school team.
