About Randolph
Randolph grew up on the line between Dodge and Columbia counties, and by 1895 its 592 people included Welsh, Dutch, English and German families; the railroad helped the village grow. Its best-known business began in 1907, when John W. Jung started a seed company in one room of his family's farmhouse nearby and printed his first catalog on a toy press; Jung's has been in Randolph for over 100 years. In 1936 Mary Hutchinson Morris left money and land for a library, and the yellow limestone Hutchinson Memorial Library is now on the National Register of Historic Places. Today families use the village park's lighted ball diamonds and shelters, the library's crafts, yoga and book clubs, and the chamber's holiday parade and bazaar.
