About Robbinsdale
Robbinsdale grew up around a railroad stop called Parker's Station, and in 1887 a developer named Andrew Bonney Robbins arrived and laid out a park-like neighborhood west of Lower Twin Lake. The village was organized in 1893. In 1919 the pulp magazine Captain Billy's Whiz Bang was first printed here, and the town still celebrates it each July with Whiz Bang Days and a parade down West Broadway. People also know the town for North Memorial hospital, Crystal Lake and its small-town streets, just minutes from Minneapolis.
