About Rock Creek
Rock Creek is a farming city in Pine County that became a city on November 4, 1970. It covers about 43 square miles, by far the biggest city by area in the county, and most of it is open farm land. Interstate 35 and Highway 70 meet here, and the old route of U.S. Highway 61 runs through town as Forest Boulevard beside the railroad. Bits of the 1850s military road from Point Douglas to Superior still serve as county roads in Rock Creek, and parts of the Mille Lacs Indian Reservation lie within the city.
