About Pine City
Pine City sits on the Snake River in Pine County. It grew up around the white pine forests and the lumber trade, and it was platted in 1869 and became a village in 1881 when the railroad came through. Today it is the county seat, with a 30-foot voyageur statue by the river and the Snake River Fur Post close by. People come for summer concerts in Robinson Park, Freedom Fest fireworks, and the arts center on Main Street.
