About Stacy
Stacy lies along the Sunrise River in Chisago County, with Interstate 35 as its main road. A post office called Stacy has been open since 1873, and the town was laid out in 1875 and named for Dr. Stacy B. Collins, an early settler. It stayed small for a century, then grew fast after 1980, and in 2023 it took in much of the land around it from Lent Township. Today it is a growing rural city of about 1,700 people at the 2020 count.
