About Wyoming
Wyoming was platted in 1869 when the St. Paul and Duluth Railroad was extended to that point, and it took its name from Wyoming Township. It stayed small for about a century, with 207 people in 1910 and 695 in 1970. Growth along Interstate 35 and the South Branch of the Sunrise River brought it to about 8,000 neighbors by 2020. It has its own historical society, and its historical society is on Forest Boulevard.
