About Weston
Weston sits just east of Wausau, where the Eau Claire River meets the Wisconsin River. It began as the Town of Eau Claire in 1856, took the name Weston in 1859, and in 1996 the southern two-thirds of the town became the Village of Weston, which has grown to more than 15,000 people. Families come for its parks, above all Kennedy Park, along with the Greenheck Turner Community Center and the D.C. Everest schools, and the Mountain-Bay State Trail passes close by. On Saturdays and Tuesdays from May to October, neighbors shop the village farmers market at the Weston Market Place in Kennedy Park.
