About Arden Hills
Arden Hills became a city on February 14, 1951, and has grown into a leafy suburb in Ramsey County. Bethel University and its seminary sit on about 290 acres beside Lake Valentine, and the north part of the University of Northwestern campus is in the city too. During World War II the government built a huge ammunition plant on land partly in Arden Hills and New Brighton, and that land is now being cleared and redeveloped. Mounds View High School stands on Lake Valentine Road, and the farm co-op Land O'Lakes has its headquarters here.
