About Bloomfield
Bloomfield is one of Wisconsin's newest villages: it was formed on December 20, 2011, from most of the Town of Bloomfield in Walworth County. It takes in the lake neighborhood of Pell Lake and part of Powers Lake. Farming families began settling the township late in 1836, when Henry Kimball and his son Oramel made their claim. Around Powers Lake, fishermen and summer visitors, many from Chicago, began staying for long visits in the 1890s. Today the village tests its swimming beaches through the summer and sets trick-or-treat hours each Halloween.
