About Falcon Heights
Falcon Heights sits in Ramsey County next to St. Paul. Heman and Jane Gibbs bought 160 acres here in 1849, and their farm is now a museum about pioneer and Dakota life. In the 1930s a real estate agent began selling lots, the first house went up in 1937, and neighbors voted to form their own city in 1949. Most of the land is public: the University of Minnesota's fields and the Minnesota State Fairgrounds, home to the fair every late summer.
