About Waite Park
Waite Park sits just west of St. Cloud and became a city in 1893. It was named for Henry Chester Waite, a state legislator. The south side is built around Quarry Park, a former granite quarry that is now a nature preserve with trails. Since 2021 neighbors have also had The Ledge, a city-owned outdoor amphitheater with room for 6,000 people that hosts concerts and community events.
